What is it about Bach?

Bach has ALWAYS been my go-to source of music when I'm feeling particularly down or mopey.  Bach is also my go-to when I'm feeling good.  Basically, Bach is my go-to.  There's something about the contrapuntal harmonies, the pizzicato-like sound of the piano (particularly when it's played by Glenn Gould)--to mimic the plucking that a harpsichord would make--that fills the soul and makes you want to share the joy bursting forth.

So, I'm sitting at work, reading and editing the judge's opinions as well as working on my own memo, listening to Glenn Gould play Bach's partitas.  It makes me bounce in my chair, tap my feet and wish my computer keyboard were actually a piano keyboard.

Sometimes too, Bach can help me find my way back to my center point.  I'm hoping his music will do so now.
